The F Word: Feminism

These past few weeks have pushed Feminism and sexism into the limelight. Emma Watson made a very inspiring speech at the UN last week to launch her 'HeforShe' campaign, there have been allegations for sexual harassment and rape by huge youtube stars and people are realising that Sex Education in Schools is just not good enough.

I love this quote from Emma's speech:

I decided I was a feminist and this seemed uncomplicated to me. But my recent research has shown me that feminism has become an unpopular word.

An Introduction

This past year and a half have been crazy, so much has happened and so much has changed.

After I finished my A levels in July 2013 my family moved 3 hours away from where we grew up, I then had 3 different jobs to save up for a round the world trip which I started in March and finished in July, we then moved house again, I got another job and now I am about to start University!

Some of these changes where forced upon me and some where my decision. Most of them were scary and made me anxious in some way but they all had such a positive impact on my life and I am very happy that they happened.

Seeing as all this change was happening and University is a fresh start for me, I thought I would start up a blog to add to my new experiences. I have been reading blogs since 2009 and absolutely love them so I thought, why not start my own?

I plan to post about anything that I am interested in. I love beauty, fashion and travel, I want to do reviews, thoughts on current affairs, DIY ideas, recipes and so much more!

I am so excited to start and hope you enjoy my posts, please let me know if you have any questions!
